GE Capital Chevron Texaco was reporting two thirty-day late payments on our client Eric’s personal credit file. Eric felt that these were inaccurate so among other things, he hired us to challenge them for him. We initially disputed them with the credit bureaus (Experian, TransUnion and Equifax) but were unsuccessful in having the erroneously reporting late payments removed.
Here is a snapshot of how the GE Capital Chevron Texaco account was previously reporting on Eric’s credit report.
After not getting anywhere via the dispute audits sent to the three credit reporting agencies, we sent verification requests via certified mail directly to GE Capital Chevron Texaco headquarters at PO Box 965015, Orlando, FL 32896 on July 10, 2013. Eight days late on July 18, 2013 they sent Eric the following response stating that they have since removed the erroneous late payments. Here is a redacted copy of their response to Eric.
