Caine & Weiner was reporting an inaccurate collection account on our client Everett’s credit report when he came to us for help. Recently, we have seen an onslaught of collection accounts from this particular collection company. Based on the information we obtain from our clients many of these collection accounts are inaccurate. Here is how this particular account was reporting on Everett’s credit file.
This particular collection account was so obviously inaccurate that we never had to address them directly for Everett. We sent our disputes audits to each of the three credit reporting agencies on November 25, 2014. After they received the dispute, they contacted the collection company, and they then mailed Everett the following letter confirming the deletion of this inaccurate collection account on December 15, 2014.
