AFNI Collections-AT&T Deletion Letter Received

AFNI Collections tend to be dispersed across many of the credit reports we review on a daily basis. They are notorious for attempting to collect for cell phone collections, among other things. They were attempting to do this on our client Laura’s credit file. This was a collection in the amount of $89 that was opened in September 2013. See the snapshot below from Laura’s Experian credit report.

AFNI Collections received a dispute audit/verification of debt from us via certified mail on December 1, 2013, which we sent on Laura’s behalf. 29 days after receiving our verification request, they realized the information they were reporting was inaccurate and sent Laura the following confirmation of deletion letter:
